I buckled into some eastern block roots and bust out the shearling hat. All day I had a craving for something. I wanted yam french fries at 10am, I made nachos at noon, and then sushi for dinner. My stomach was fucked.

March 29: Painting Day
Oil painting is hard. So, I come home and take out all of my aggression on Solo's face. Not really, she loves a face rub.

March 28: Mouse and the Clippers (and the jazz too)
The king took me to a Jazz vs. Clippers game tonight. His family had a box suite. It was nice and fully catered and the only problem is that his whole family is dry and the fridge was stocked with beer and we just sat and stared at it, out of politeness. That, and the fact that the entire box was filled with Jazz fans, and there I am, a guest, the lone intruder, the Clippers fan. How could I not support my home team? And really, how can anyone in LA be a Lakers fan? The Clippers' uniforms are so much cuter. I thought I was supporting quite subtly with only the red scarf tied around my wrist...they spotted me like an albino in the dark.
The king's nephew (who's 2) poked my boob and said, "mouse!" At least he was educationally groping.
And, the Jazz won, boo. However, I guess they have the best home record in the NBA.
March 27: Reaching High Places
I have a small apartment, and an even smaller kitchen, but for some reason, the cupboards are so damn high up. Good thing girl's got climbing skills.
All this for a can of hominy

Randomness: Likes & Dislikes
Daily, I have rants. Brook is usually the one who has to listen to my rant, since she sits directly across from my desk. So far today, the list is as follows:
LIKES:
the sound of heartbeats
rain
new prisma color markers
when I catch my betta fish staring me down while at my desk.
when my dog runs sideways
being in the shower
slide guitar
heavy thick sounding drums
imagination
fairy tales
wavy hair
my niece's tiny, 6 year old, raspy voice
cold water
snow storms
watercolor blossoms
carnations
punk rock
pianos
and this song by Basia Bulat:
Oh, My Darling
There are two things I will carry in my pockets at the end
oh, my darling,
you are one of them
the way you look when you have got a story to begin,
oh, my darling,
that's the other half
and I will never lose them,
no I'll never never show them like a prize
I will keep them out of sight
and I will never give them up to any ceiling
promise or a lie,
they are mine until I die, until I die
this isn't the song above, but it's a good one:

DISLIKES:
styrofoam coolers squeaking - the sound will physically make me dry heave or vomit, depending on how recently I've eaten.
people that don't use the middle turn lane to make left turns in traffic and instead, just sit in front of you - forever.
baby talk - adding a y sound at the end of a word to make it sound "cute" or "cutsy"
real fur - come on people, there is really no need. unless you live in the woods and have no other option.
bad dreams - they're such a waste of a night
soda in plastic bottles
plastic, in general
hummers and cars that copy their look (the cars, get your minds out of the gutter)
snowmobiles - as a friend once, so eloquently, put it, "I'm certain I'd have more fun rolling down a hill full of leaves than riding a snowmobile."
cruise ships
scenes of any sort - except movie and play scenes.
squared off acrylic nails
cream filled pastries
responsibility
hearing airplanes while camping
March 26: Danielle and the Giant Peach
I think this is my favorite color to wear. Perhaps if it were not for my tattoo, from afar I'd look naked.
The best parts of this blouse are the covered buttons in back and the amazing sleeve:

March 25: Sleepy
I'd hate to think that one day when I'm still sleepy, I'll have no excuse. It will just have been me being sleepy forever. Let's hope not.
I did get up and go to class, sort of:

March 24: Salt Lake City, Again
Back in the SLC. Lost my phone at LAX. oops.
Jody and I had to share some mandatory margaritas before my flight. No wonder I left my phone in the airport.

March 23: Happy Easter - Creek BBQ
The bbq was a hit. It was good times and no drama! Maybe it's because we took a portion of the party on a creek hike. And yes, I wore my bathing suit all day long, minus the 2 hour breakfast at my sister's house. Jody made lizard snares from the tall grass and I wrangled an alligator lizard by accident and was too scared to grab him. Jody and Alex, however, were quite the lizard whisperers.
Parties always start in the kitchen:

At the bbq, we got a bit carried away with jump photos, thanks to Adrian and Alex. Adrian kicked the jump photos off and Alex decided we should all take fly away photos with the umbrella.

March 24: Happy Easter!
My sister and friends had an easter breakfast-egg hunt eggstravaganza. My niece and nephew are so cute. I felt like a war photographer during the egg hunt though. We had a garage jam session and good times. Then my momma and yorkie had an easter bbq. good times. Warning: this is one hell of a post. The bbq was full of adventure. Actually, I think I'll have to split it into to three posts. One for egg hunt, the second of the jump photos, the third - the epic creek wandering.
