Fashion Remix: Challenge

Fashion Remix was a challenge that put together interior designers, architects, and stylists together to create looks yeilded from building/interior design materials. Dexterity Salon did the hair. I took photos (click here to see the entire set).

The image at top was the winner, a dress made from wood veneer.

Hold Your Horses

Here comes Polaroid! In its waaay more expensive form. So, Polapremium is manufacturing Polaroid's instant film once again. I was about 90% of the way through the checkout process, about to buy a 3 pack of Spectra film, when I realized they charge an arm and an ass for shipping. 25 dollars to be exact. Holy shit, no thanks. So, I sleuthed around and found a site that sort of operates like ride-share. It lists people's geographical location and let's you connect with other polaroid enthusiasts with the intent of sharing shipping costs on placing your orders together. I'm not quite sure how you work out payment, probably create a joint paypal account you both deposit into. I don't know, the mroe I'm thinking of it, it sounds like a mail order marriage. No Thank You Mister Post Man

The postman almost ruined my weekend by almost ruining my chances of watching season 5 of Six Feet Under. I have been holding out for years. I haven't wanted my favorite show to ever end, so, I've refused watching it. Now is the time. I have the strength to have it come to a close.

Also, I've been having fun shooting objects atop a lightbox.

Passion Pit: Minus the Dance Pit

I thought going to a show of the likes of pop talent, Passion Pit, dancing would ensue. No. I danced alone. All alone in my leopard vest. Like a teenager.

I'm not going to palliate my feelings about this show. It was excessive and intriguing. The reptilian prints, exoskeletal forms, underewaterness, these are elements that I cannot personally deny. I love them.
