OK, so, I've been coveting these simple Chelsea boots by Frye for some time. I want them. I need them. I wish they weren't 228 bones. And, since those Illex Kinney boots are around the same price, I'm tempted to hold off....However, classic is usually my route.

summer is death
fall beckons me.
Life's a Dream

The boys of Boise, Built to Spill, have made a comeback (of sorts) with their latest album, There is No Enemy. It is greatness. It's as if their musical career has been an open-faced sandwich waiting for a top slice of bread. This is the top slice and everything thing in the middle has been a muddle of jam atop the unprecedented Keep it Like a Secret slice of bread.
My favorite, so far, is "Life's a Dream". It's got that dreamy syntactical warbling guitar that makes my insides well up with dream.

This painting has been giving me some hell. This is where I like to stop and sit back and take a break from it. after this phase, I usually wipe it off and start over, or, miraculously, it's like Degas says, "the perfect crime" is committed and a painting is resolved to desired performance.
Grizzly Bear and Vampires
So, apparently, Grizzly Bear has a song on the Twilight: New Moon soundtrack. I don't know about Twilight, but I can say this video kicks ass.
