April 30 will go down in history. My history. I love this life. I love this world. I have a gift and I can feel it. I think [my gift] could use a little dosage of refinement, is all.

April 30: Cut the Ropes, Let Me Fall
April 29: Happy Birthday Alexandra!
Today is my sister Alexandra's birthday. Her favorite color is red, she's more fun than anyone else i know, she's adventurous, smart, and likes yoga. So, this is my tribute to her. Love you Alex!

April 28: Blazin' Saddles, Sans Saddles
Today I wore a vintage blazer (I believe my great uncle's name was blaise - which is derived from the french word for lisp, blésez, go figure. since it's french-austrian or french-hungarian or something) my momma gave me over Easter. I love it. The only drawback is that one has to imagine that I do, in fact, have a neck underneath all of that shoulder padding. Otherwise, awesome, and really, I think it's the shoulder pads that make up part of the awesome of the jacket.
info:
blazer - handed dowm by mom
pants - lux
shoes - nine west - thrifted
April 27: Saggy Crotch is the New Black
At least that's what all those "fashionable" people are saying. I've been rocking ninja pants since, forever. See, if we all wait long enough we are all in fashion at one time or another.
You know what's crazy? I bet there are people in America who don't know how to tie dye. Now, that's just crazy:

April 26: Go Jazz!
Tonight I went with some friends to a print show at SaltGrass. Nice to see some old friends and new friends:
Trent, Kalani, Patrick - and how awesome are Kalani's shoes?:
Lauren scaring off the locals:
Bugsy and his prints (and trent's to the right):
Necessary Machinery:
So, pretty cool - one of the local theaters, Brewvies, showed the Jazz game in the theater. Also, very cool, is that Brewvies also serves beer and food. So we all got rowdy and ate nachos and drank beer and rooted for the Jazz in a packed theater. Almost better than watching live. In fact, probably better than watching live - it was free.
Then the buddies' band (Peter, Ben, Josh, Kevin), Accidente played. Rode bikes, good times.
Grim Reaper Blues
I know this is old news, but I cannot get enough of this video. It's directed by Maximilla Lukacs. I really think her film works are spectacular. This video, in particular is for the Entrance Band. I just recently purchased a DVD of the projections Maximilla directed for the Entrance during their live performances (bits of the projections are featured in this video). This summer if anyone wants to come over and lay on some grass and have your minds blown, well, then summer time it will be...
Summer! Suits! Water! Sluts?
I may not like the heat, and by heat I mean 85+. However, I LOVE bathing suits! Here are my favorite ensembles as of now:
Serpentine Watermelon:
The Lolita:
The Pretentious Poolside Safari:
April 24: Communication Breakdown
I lost my phone and the internet company disconnected my service. I have been totally locked out of the world wide webular tubular boobular blah blah...
So, I went to school and then did some thrifting. I scored in the glasswares isle, is all I can say. And, that I fell in love with this couch, but seeing as that I have no place for a couch and I already have a couch that is causing problems, I figured I should let someone else relish in its splendor.

April 23: Black and Red
Only because I write this post in retrospect, I know that I lost my phone this evening. It was a good evening, nonetheless. I rode bikes with nico and lauren (oh, hallelujah spring) to the Broken Record and saw some buddies bands play and also a rocktastic stoner psychedelic two piece, Jucifer.

Lauren's awesome boobtat:
Annie was back from Maui:
Phil (Invader!)
Josh (Accidente & Annie's Other Half)
Peter likes to yell at me:
Jucifer had enough cabinets to blow the Broken Record to Missouri:

I heart vista lites:

and we ended the night with a harley sandwich:
I Am Not a Paper Cup
I just bought this cup. I recently lost my favorite travel mug and this one will be its replacement. It's ceramic and full of potential greatness, such as: dirty chai, coffee, americano, etc.
Reveries, Memories, and The Rain
Every now and again a certain mood will well up inside and force me to travel back in time a revisit a moment. Usually these moments are ones in which I felt a certain peace amidst chaos. I remember exactly where I was the moment I first heard this song. Not to be all cheesy (because the band is somewhat of banal subject and also the leaders of quite the hipster movement - blah blah). The year was 2000; I had just moved to Salt Lake City from L.A. and I was back home visiting. I had just bought the Death Cab for Cutie album, We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes. It was raining. I was driving to visit my friend Adrian who lives north of my mom's house. I remember thinking I had the volume too low, as the beginning of the song starts of with a sort of studio whisper, and when the drums kicked in, I was taken. The song is simple, it's pop music. Which brings me to this: It's not the song by itself that was so amazing; It was the entire moment. It was the simplest moment. It was life. It was the rain. It was when my life was moving. It's still moving. And, as one sweatpant wearing fellow art student told me yesterday, "Chase that Feeling."
There is some babble in the beginning of this video, sorry.
April 22: Partial View - New Tattoo
Here is the partial view of the new tattoo (click to see full view):
If anyone cares, Mr. Vic Back of Goodtimes Tattoo (SLC, UT, USA) did the new tattoo. My other (older tattoos, the sleeve) was done by Mr. Jon Chatelain of 11th Street Electric Tattoo (SLC, UT, USA). I highly recommend both artists; not only are they a good time, they are both smokin' hot sexy.
Today was also:
- earth day
- last "attending" day of class (there are still portfolios due friday)
- tuesday - its smallest note
- someone's birthday
- my unbirthday

April 20 : Pain Day
Annie and Nicole gave me a birthday present of tattoo money that has been laid down since January. It's April. I just now got tattooed. This morning was the last time I'd ever see my unscathed elbow again.
April 19: Wow, I'm Behind
Just when you think life has quieted down, all gets loud for another round. Sickness, illness, work, family, times, more times, lifetimes to be precise.
Also, school. I've been in the studio more than I've been anywhere else, which, I suppose is a good thing. Here I am with my favorite arm prop.
info:
red top - thrifted and modified be me
tank - hanes and stolen from a certain man friend
shorts - thrifted and used to be pants
shoes -UO
feather brooch - made by me
hand - supplied by the university of utah (you've got to hand it to them...)
Interesting.
i found this approach from a fellow blogger, it's pretty interesting:
1. Go to www.flickr.com
2. Type in your answer to the question in the "search" box
3. Use only the first page
4. Copy the html and paste for the answer.
1. What is your first name?
2. What is your favorite food?
3. What High School did you go to?
4. What is your favorite color?
5. Who is your celebrity crush?
6. Who is your favorite Disney Princess?
7. Favorite drink?
8. Dream vacation?
9. Favorite dessert?
10. What do you want to be when you grow up?
11. What do you love most in life?
12. One word to describe you?
13. What do you dream about?
